Can't seem to kill the Salamanders in the house. The ones that appear after I win the trust of the three townspeople and the town changes..... Killed the two outside with no problem. Tried the Fast Sword...the Group, but I get nowhere. I'm level 9 and can kill any other "creature" with no problem...But, not these four guys. What am I missing.
Also, how can I heal myself..I eat food, but the effects are minimal. AKA, no help at all when I'm getting the crap kicked out of me, very quickly. I have my skill tree maxed on regeneration, and have tried whatever I could find in the tips...aka..."search". But, can't seem to get past these guys....
Any other tips....thanks
Killing Salamanders and Healing
I stored all my stuff with the innkeeper and he's dead. Can't retrieve items now...not for awhile anyway...
I've read all the books I could find or buy, collected herbs and flowers etc, but still haven't got the hang of making potions. Meditating doesn't get the results it's supposed to...duh....re potions.
I'm using the Witcher Sword. I haven't forged at all since I only got one piece of ore.....

Killing the Salamandra group
There are two postions that will help you, they are "Blizzard" which greatly improves your ability to avoid being hit and appears to slow time. ( this is tghe potion mentioned by mr-sir) and "Swallow" which improves your regeneration process and certainly stay with the "group" mode. Also try using your silver sword as I don't think they are considered human. Another enhancement is to lubricate your blade with a potion these are easily identified in your satchel.

I recently completed that section and found that the Aard sign combined with the oil you can get from the dwarf near the inn worked wonders... The battle was over in moments.

You can retrieve your stored items from any innkeeper.
You need to have the correct ingredients (strong alcohol is a must have for most potions) and use the MIX icon in the Alchemy section that comes up when you hit the L key. You can make as many potions as you have ingredients for before selecting Meditating. You probably have learned this already.
