Load Screen Issue

Post by LordAtaxia »

So, I just got BG and BGII. I've run BGII fine and finished SoA. Problem is that when I recently tried to run BG, it brings up a screen saying, "Insert CD 6". Um...I have a dvd version of the game, only 1 disk. Not 6...

Help! Thanks.

Have you at all patched this game? Something like this usually happens if you apply the patch intended for the original version, which was five discs plus the expansion.

Just to clarify, you installed it, without installing ANY external components, such as updates, official patches and no-cd cracks, correct?

If so, you may try to search your DVD for any sort of readme or attempt to copy the contents of the CD into the appropriate places within your Baldur's Gate directory.

You can also attempt to install a no-cd patch, but keep in mind that version does matter.

Hmmm...I guess I should try checking whether the CD data caches are in the BG folder...
