Fighter/Cleric Dual Class bug?

Post by nosehome »

Hi!

I have a level 9 fighter who's been dualled to a cleric. When I hit level 10 with the cleric, i do not seem to get my fighter abilities back. I only have the proficiency points of the cleric, and the thac0 isn't as low as it should be. There's a dualled fighter/mage in the party as well, and he's got all his fighter proficiency points back. Could it be a corrupted savegame or something? Someone know of any good solutions?

Thanks!

Clerics are limited in their weapons by ethos, so any points spent in non-cleric weapons are lost.
Wizards aren't limited in weapons by ethos, but by training.

Compare it to how multiclasses gain weapon profs: Any Cleric/Druid is limited to his choice of weapons, but other combinations get the better of the two. (or three).

A way around this is to use Dalekeeper editor to re-assign those points. The editor is very stable and works like a charm.
