K is this normal? Im playing ToB now

Post by RiseofBane »

I am still at Ch6 in SoB, but I havent entered to the elven city yet, nor I talked to the elve in Underdark exit area. I defeated Bodhi.

I just wanted to see how I can transfer characters, so I installed ToB today. And I believe someone told me I must enter Elven city called Watcher keep, but I was able to import all my characters from random saved files ha.. like really old ones..

so I created new character to see what will happen. I created new character in ToB, and he has some of the items I got from SoB. hmm? such as magic bag holder, Dragon's Bane Helberd+3, and so on. I guess when I make new char it is given randomly from SoA character's inventory?

Anyway, somebody told me to drop all the items in Watcher Keep so I can pick it later. If so, can I make new character and pick them all up??? Does this even work?

Also I heard I can meet SoA characters from ToB again? Like Jaheria / Nalia and so on.. Do I meet them from certain towns ?

Also I want to create new main char, yet keep my old party members from SoA. I heard it can be done playing as multi-player. I just don't know how, can somebody help me on this?

and lastly, it's funny how I level up so quickly in ToB when I get few thousands experiences from monster and when my experience pts shows I need million more points. Hm. How does math work here?

Watcher's Keep is not Elven City not even related to it.When you install ToB, you'll have access to Watcher's Keep, but this area is completely independent from ToB and if I recall correctly, you can finish it already in SoA (because it appears on your map after installation) or in ToB.But entering WK doesn't have anything to do with ToB.To start ToB, either first finish SoA and the game continues automatically, but you can also start ToB by importing your current characters as you did I believe. But I'd suggest you finish SoA first and then go to ToB.

Also I head I can meet SoA characters from ToB again? Like Jaheria / Nalia and so on.. Do I meet them from certain towns ?
Yes you can, but not at the very beginning of ToB.First, there is a

battle
and after that you are
Spoiler
transported to one special place
, where you'll be able to summon NPCs.

When you start a new game in TOB, it assumes that you have finished SOA, so your new starting character gets an assortment of items that you would have had, if you had finished SOA.

It wouldn't make sense, either from a storyline or from a power perspective to have high level characters with no equipment or money.
