I could use some help...
I'm trying to craft a grandmaster lightening rune in Awakening (for use towards the heartwood bow), but the tracing isn't available? I've done all the Keep upgrades & got the extra vendors to come to the keep, but Yuriah still isn't selling it. What can I do?
What's the deal with Grandmaster Lightening runes in Awakenings?

Not all rune tracing can be bought. Some of them need to be found.
In any case, in order to get Yriah to have the Grandmaster Rune tracing (spoiler - highlight to read):

You need to have saved a merchant from the darkspawn at the very start of Awakening, when Vigil's Keep was being invaded.
Alternatively, you can save a wandering merchant from some darkspawn in a random encounter.
Lastly, you could complete the "Trade Must Flow" quest.

It sounds like GB_Dodger already did that.
@GB_Dodger: If you completed the quest Trade Must Flow, and if Yuriah didn't update his wares to include the rune tracing, then you're just stuck (unless you're on the PC and can figure out the console command to add the tracing to your inventory).

@Crenshinibon: yes, I did save the wandering merchant, but it didn't make any difference to Yuriah.
@swcarter: yes, I considered mucking with the console, but I don't want to mess up the game, so
I guess I'm stuck. I should have known something was wrong in the beginning when it indicated that I failed that quest (I'm pretty sure I actually did save all those merchants in the beginning @ Vigil's Keep). I had similar oddities in the Origins campaign (like I couldn't get all 12 copies of the love letters in Correspondence Interruptus).
What a bummer; I really wanted that bow!

I've actually not gotten Yuriah to update, either, until I finished both Wending Wood and Kal Hirol (spelling?). But then, I typically port over at least ONE grandmaster Flame and Lightning rune (each) from Origins.
It's rare in the extreme, but I've also found a couple of GM Lightning Runes in Awakening (3 in about 10 playthrus), RARE, but possible. In theory.
