Specialisation with morrigan

Post by oldboy »

Hello.
I'm lvl 14 with Morrigan now and it says i can specialize in another sort of magic.
I want to spirit healing because it's useful and Wynne on the other hand has some flaws i dislike.
I have approval rating +87 with Wynne and still she's not offering to teach someone spirit healing? What's the catch?

Thanks.

edit. z instead of s in the title but i think that's clear. :)

Morrigan needs low (<30ish) approval to teach her specialization. She won't teach higher than that.

All other companions save one (including the Secret Companion) need moderate (30+) approval to teach their specializations. Wynne is the exception.

Wynne doesn't teach how to be a Spirit Healer. In Dialogue, she says that she has always had an affinity for the spirits of the fade. Even the description of the Spec class says that most Spirit Healers are that way.

Spoilers for locations of Spirit Healer manual:
Spoiler
Tranquil Proprietor, Wonders of Thedas, Denerim Marketplace
Levi Dryden, Soldier's Peak*

*Must have Warden's peak DLC installed, AND have completed that quest for him to open up shop.

Wait,so what you're saying is that no one can actually teach you to become spirit healer except buying manual...well thats bad.

Then why is this stated in OC walkthrough here?
How to Unlock: This specialization is taught by Wynne if your approval rating is high enough, or can be made available with the Manual: Spirit Healer item.

Here on Gamebanshee, you mean? Most likely someone made an incorrect assumption. Report it if you like, I just get ignored, most of the time.

Wynne does NOT teach Spirit Healer. I've tried. at MANY different Approval ratings.

Even the Wiki says that she doesn't teach her spec.

Are you sure she doesn't teach it? I'm pretty sure she does. :P
The problem is that the people with the most ridiculous ideas are always the people who are most certain of them.

Wynne will not teach Spirit Healer. If you go through her dialogue, after a certain event she will tell you she doesn't understand how it works.
