Turning the Handmaiden into a Jedi

Post by Manzo »

Alright...
I'm at level 12 something, back on the Ebon Hawk (right back from the Secret Academy!).
I have played Dantooine extensively with BaoDur and Handmaiden in my party, practically reaching almost level 12 with every character and Light Mastery (every now and then also BaoDur and Handmaiden get the flash flux of light behind themselves in the character pictures!).
I did go back to a previous savegame because I thought I had screwed up my attempt at turning the Handmaiden to a Jedi after watching my my very own bewildered eyes BaoDur turning himself into a Jedi without any effort on my side (just the usual, dignified cheatchat?) despite the fact that I have been trying every combination of dialogue and influence gain with the Handmaiden to turn her into a Jedi, to no avail...!

I managed to do the bulky robe trick and get her pick the fancy mama's clothes.

I have been reading Aeon's FAQ and some times just don't fit in...

I can go through the dialogues with her and Kreia about her Jedi mother, but when I ask her to let me train, it won't do.
Too much influence?

Are there some requirement?

I actually managed to turn BaoDur into a Jedi and WITHOUT ANY EFFORT, I read somewhere "gaining influence with BaoDur is difficult and rare" and blablabla, well... in my case, it was not at all.

I am level 12 or more, with 100% Light Mastery, and BaoDur and Handmaiden on Dantooine, in my party, get the shiny flux of light behind their back themselves, even though I have noticed it is not a fixed thing and it tends to wane away...

So, how come I turned BaoDur without even noticing it, and I can't seem to turn the Handmaiden?

I have also read something about challenging her a third time, after which you get Battle Precognition... Well... I managed to get Battle Precognition through dialogue right after out first duel on the Ebon Hawk...!

Could anyone help me clarify this?
How can I turn her into a Jedi Guardian quickly?
Is my level ok? Is my Light Mastery ok?
Is HER level and her Light/Influence value enough?
Is it required that we go past a specific quest or dialogue?

Ok...

I think I found my answer...

So I gather I'll just have to wait and keep her at a low level to save for Jedi Guardian levels later on...
