Would my save games be seriously messed up if I installed the plus patch on top of my already 7.1 patched game? I am in Santa Monica. I'm not sure how far, but I doubt I am too far into the game. I just want to be sure I won't pooch the game too much.

Is there some special key to use the grenade Nines gives you if you side with the Anarchs? I armed the grenade and tried to use it against Ming and other enemies but I couldn't throw it. I tried the left mouse button and the "E" key but neither worked. I use the default key mappings.

No, but there seems to be a random bug connected to it. Your HUD needs to display 1/1/1 in the weapon window on the left side, otherwise you need to give you at least one more grenade using the console command "give item_w_grenade_frag".
I had 1/1 and 0 but the command didn't work. This is what I had to do in order to use the grenade:
1. Drop the grenade from inventory.
2. Use the console command "give item_w_grenade_frag".
3. Pick up the grenade from step 1.
Just doing 1 and 2 gave the same result: not able to throw the grenade.
BTW, my ranged weapon inventory was full when Nines gave me the grenade so it ended up on the floor. I dropped a gun or two and picked up the grenade. Maybe this messed my game up somehow.

Oops, you are right. The console grenade isn't just added as I thought.

This should be the reason, because strangely the grenade is treated like any other weapon and you need at least an "ammo" of one other grenade to use it...
I may have encountered a small bug - when looking at books their names aren't centered, but instead off to the right (although I didn't patch a clean install so it may not really be a bug).
Another thing is when doing a stealth kill with Obfuscate level 4, you turn visible. Is this how it's supposed to work? I don't remember.
One more question, Wesp - did you move the library card from the museum? Where is it now?

On my system all item names are left aligned.

I'm not sure myself but I think you need to press use and not attack to stay invisible.

I moved it from the museum to the Empire Arms hotel because you can't return to the museum.

Weird. I wonder what I did to cause that. It seems to affect all items but only noticable with books because of their long names.

I just checked, it's the opposite of what you said - you need to attack, not use. It's even written in the discipline description, I should have read that first...
I'm in Hollywood right now and so far everything else looks perfect. Great work as usual, Wesp.
I finished the game, that was fun. My sixth time, I think .
Got a small problem with the anarch ending. The last part where you talk to Nines won't play all the way. After the bomb goes off I saw my charecter walking out, then it immediately skipped to the the loading screen and Jack's scene.
Also, I don't know if this is a bug, but it seems that when doing Gary's posters quest you need to use the mailbox at the apartment where you first read the mail about it. What happened to me was that I got the quest on my SM haven, then got the Nosferatu downtown haven, but putting the item there didn't trigger the end condition for the quest.

Never heard that before, hopefully a one time glitch.

That is a known issue of an older unofficial patch, it has been fixed in the meantime by removing the original haven computer again when you get a new haven.

I had a computer active in both havens... hmm, I'm really begining to think all those "bugs" I've had are because of my messing with the game files. Apparently I didn't restore everything to normal before starting the game. I'm going to try reinstalling and I'll see if that helps.

The Waterworks swipe card/pass key should be removed from your inventory when you unlock the platform leading to the Nosferatu city.
Assuming you acquire it, the Giovanni invitation should be removed from your inventory when you use it to enter the mansion.
Hm, it is possible to enter both locations again, although I don't know if you need those items again too...
Update: It seems you do not need these items but still I don't know if I should remove them. What is the consensus here? Keep them as souvenirs or remove them to clean up the inventory?
There's no limit on regular inventory items, right?
So I don't mind if it stays. I drop everything I don't need in the haven box after quests are done anyway.
