Deus Ex Human Revolution delayed till..

Post by RayPG »

The hour is at hand...or so we thought. Cryptic as the official announcement was for the delay ("it will arrive somewhere before april 2012"), let's keep our hopes up. I already have the Augmented Edition in pre-order!

Meh computer games get delayed almost every time - I'm waiting to decide whether or not to buy until I see some (trustworthy) reviews of whether it is more like DX 1 or 2.

I wouldn't rely to much on the reviews, this is a follow up to a game which wasn't understood when it came out, and got only lukewarm reviews at best.

On DXHR I was extremely sceptic, they won me over in the previews and I am really looking forward to it now. It looks exactly how I imagined a modern sequel to DX be, which goes to show the dev team understands and loves the original.

What's worrying about the delay, other then with other games, is that Square financially is in rough water, and they haven't named a new date. The dev team is awfully quiet about all this, I hope we don't have another Duke Nukem Forever here, it would break my heart if that happens to DX!

After seeing some gameplay clips I am not overly excited about the game.

Deus Ex 1 was great.
Deus Ex 2 was terrible.
Deus Ex 3? ....
