Cailan's Body

Post by DRG »

I'm confused, as usual. The walkthrough for "DLC Location Ostagar" says "You won't be able to do anything about Cailan's body until the end of the DLC"

I think I've killed all the Darkspawn and other monsters in Ostagar but I still can't do anything with Cailan's body.

Is there something else I have to do or have I missed some monsters? I've been all over the place and can't find any.

Without spoiling too much - I seem to recall it happening automatically once killing the end boss(es) and having found all his equipment pieces.

If you've completed the DLC you'll know which I talk about, and if not - then you're not done yet. ;)

I have all the pieces of his armor: helm, breastplate, greaves, gauntlets, sword and shield. I followed the walkthrough and killed all of the darkspawn mentioned: the Hurlock Strider, the Genlock Forgemaster, the Hurlock Vagabond, the Hurlock Strategist, the Darkspawn Emissaries, the Hurlock General, the Ogre in the tower, and the Genlock Necromancer.

The only thing in the walkthrough that I didn't do was fight dead soldiers that the Necromancer was supposed to raise. He didn't raise any soldiers, just the Ogre.

After you kill the Genlock necromancer you should go back the way you came. It should trigger the cutscene where you go get Cailan's body.

I was confused the first time I played the DLC as well. I wandered around the final battlefield, looking for a path out. You just have to turn around and start towards the tunnel you came from.
