Hi,
I just made it to the City Heights, but I have many uncompleted things back in the dungeons that I could not figure out because of: magically sealed doors, not knowing the words to open glyphs, etc. I went up and down those dungeon floors and decided I couldn't do anything else except go to the City Heights. I now am in an unexplored area, but I should I be here? Will I discover the words to open glyphs and clean out the dungeon here in the City Heights, or is this a new area that has no relation to the dungeon? I love exploring this new area but I can't stand that there are so many unsolved sections of the dungeon.
thanks
Am I going too far?

In a word, yes.
You'll set up the chance to learn the Splashing Word as part of the same quest you need to complete to get the dwarf ghost to speak with you. (Hint:.)
And you'll learn the Singing Word as you work your way back to the surface following a fall through an unstable patch of ground; along the way you'll also uncover a useful artifact, and a sorcerer's armor that totally rocks. (Hint:.)
Plus, you'll learn the Dragon Word (which opens the cruel glyph) from some orogs,; they want your help to defeat the sorcerer-heavy party on the other side of those doors.

look for a fountain, either outdoors or back in the dungeon

look, or rather walk, on the pathway to the right of the outdoor fountain

Speak softly, and carry a big stick. Or better yet: a big, sharp blade.
damn...they really make it difficult don't they. I'm not going to look at the spoilers (I'll try to do it myself but I appreciate that). There is one place however that I found in the city heights that led down to an area in in the halls of light, so I guess at least part had to be solved with me going up to the City Heights.TwoHandedSword wrote:

I've got some Words in the past (somehow) and have opened some doors. I don't remember if I talked to a dwarf ghost or not...So no words will be found in the City Heights eh? I spent around 3 weeks (in our world) searching those dungeons now I have to go back...and I was so enjoying the City heights!
thanks for the advice!

Ah, those City Heights. Some fresh air does a body good, yes?
FTR, you'll eventually need to find and help the dwarf ghost as part of the main quest anyway; the fact that it opens up a side quest is just a bonus.
And if you explore all the ins and outs of the building the dwarf is in, you'll probably run across the orogs anyway; like I mentioned above, they're desperate for your help.
