Rogue no longer does sneak attack

Post by cbarchuk »

I'm finishing up with the Fields of Slaughter area and I'm just noticing my rogue doesn't get sneak attack bonus anymore. It doesn't show up in the combat log either. Crippling strike debuff appears but that's it. Is this a known bug?

Does this include Fire Mephits and Hell Hounds and Trolls?

UPDATE: Just fought that huge group Orogs, and Wizards right at the beginning and sneak attack doesn't appear in the combat log although...crippling strike does and it seems I'm hitting for more damage but sneak attack doesn't appear. Very strange

How high is your sneak attack bonus? If its very low then crippling strikes may be the reason behind it.

I'm level 15 so I think its 8d6. I think its the crippling strike too. Very weird. Overall my experience with IWD2 hasn't been a great one.

In that case it seems like a bug. Never experienced anything like that

What type of weapon are you using? Not all are capable of sneak attacks.

You can sneak attack with any weapon in in IWD2. But some monster types or classes like barbarians are immune. Maybe some of the high level end game enemies are considered immune too.
