what does it mean in deepscorn hallow when it says u have another family member?

i just got the dark minion for deepscorn hollow. i had him kill in the name of sithis, and when i got back it said he completed his work and i have a new family member, what does it mean by that?

I've never got my Minion to kill anyone, so I don't know really - but I think the minion is a vampire, so when it kills, the victim becomes a vampire. But that's only a guess. Which is probably wrong, but I thought I'd hurl it into the mix anyway....

yes he is a vampire, but it cant be right because in the victims loot chest there are items from the person he killed, and when you are bit by a vampire, you do not die, not on the elder scrolls.

Yeah, I know, but the victim in the cell is just the victim in the cell, isn't he? Or does he change after the minion kills?

The victim in the cell is there for when you become a vampire yourself so that you can feed on him anytime you need with no one to see you do it. Keeps the sunlight from harming you if you stay fed. I think the cell package you buy during the quest says cattle or something like that.

Thanks for the info.

I've only tried vampirism once and I didn't like what it did my character's looks, so I've not tried again.
