ive been watching the series lately and its probably the best cartoon ever created in my opinion, good for all ages. Anyway, i was wondering if anyone out there are fans of the series(not the movie..ugh stupid m. night) and would support an mmorpg based on the series that has a wide open landscape like WoW or LOTRO, etc..
People would create their characters and can choose one of the four elements(or maybe be a warrior like sokka). They can also master certain other things like metal bending, blood bending, lightning and such based on their bending type and can obtain mounts such as dragons, sky bisons, and various other animals, they then start in a designated region based on their bending type as well and travel the world of Avatar essentially. I think in the right hands it would be an amazingly popular game and im wondering if anyone agrees or has any ideas on such a game.

As much as I liked the cartoon series, I fail to envision how an MMO based upon Avatar's lore would be different from many other fantasy based products already out there (WoW comes to mind). Furthermore, making a good game, especially when it comes to MMOs would require more of a focus on its actual game play to endear it to the fans as well as ensure its longevity.

very true but i feel the almost infinite bending possibilities could create a very interesting combat system even allowing travel to occur by bending, also putting a high level bending mastery ability where people learn respective bending disciplines, blood bending, metal bending, lightning, could really boost the game. I also think the entire world could be reanimated into one game considering that most of it was shown by the show creating a massive landscape but there would still be a few things needed to make it better than others
