Resting till healed

I've just reinstalled the whole game in order to add a mod. I'm now trying to run the game solo starting from BG2. But I'm finding that every time I rest, it takes like 20-30 days to rest till healed. Now before I reinstalled the game, it would only take maybe 8-10 HOURS with a full party to rest till healed. What's going on here?

What is your party composed of and do you have healing spells memorized?
These are automatically cast when you use "rest until healed".

A character with < 20 constitution can take *VERY* long to heal naturally without aid.

Ahh ok. Yea I'm using a solo character and he's an assassin. So basically I can never use the rest function if I'm on a time table for quest. That absolutely stinks...lol

Disable "rest until healed" option and rest normally for 8 hours. If you have the "DUHM" special ability you'll regenerate faster if you enable it immediately before resting. You can pickpocket a ring of regeneration from Ribald.
