Looking for two mods.

Post by Stworca »

Oi!

As the tittle suggests i'm looking for two more mods to add to Oblivion before i give it one more (last) try, mostly because i never joined Fighter or Mage guild. explored a total of 0 optional dungeons etc.

So far i have Francesco's.. something something.. That removes the god damn level scaling

I'm looking for :
- A mod that makes the game textures darker. No more shiny helmets, shiny water, shiny walls, shiny enemies and shiny dirt.
- Some optional stealth and assassination system. Perhaps increased multipliers. Overhauled sneaking.

Regards

Been a while since I've played Oblivion, so I cannot speak directly for either of these, they are just a result of a simple search.

There are a lot of different texture mods, all doing slightly different things. You read a good overview of the major choices at : TOTO - The Oblivion Texture Overhaul . You should also check your vanilla settings to make sure that bloom is turned off. There's a good guide for tweaking game settings at TweakGuides.com - Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Tweak Guide .

The best stealth overhaul mod around these days seems to be JOG's. Stealth Overhaul - Oblivion Mod Wiki .

You can probably achieve that by setting the "specular distance" in the game options to zero. If that does not give the desired result, turning off bloom/HDR would also help.
