Post by Takeshi60 »

i got into a fight, and one of my followers died. i tried using the resurrection spell, but it says this life cannot be resurrected, and the person that died just says "looks like i'm dead. i'm no help like this."
i dont know what to, or how to fix this.
anyone know what i am doing wrong?

Was his body still there when you tried to resurrect him?

What's his technology/magic aptitude? Your companion is probably too tech-inclined. If so, spells won't help, try Restore life (I'm not sure about the name though, it's an item sold in certain shops).

Edit (after Galrean's comment): I just checked, shops sell "Restore life", while the scematic is called Reanimator and RPG Codex forums explain it all:
Reanimator
The schematic is near the wrecked, fish shaped, submarine at Shades Beach.
Restores life, with full HP and FP, of any, non mechanical, dead character.
Requires items derived from the seventh schematic acquired while graduating in the Herbology Discipline plus an expertise level of ninety in the Herbology Discipline and an expertise level of forty in the Electric Discipline.
Large capacitors are sold by Inventors' shops.
A practically identical item, named Restore Life, can be purchased from Herbalists.
You could also try re-animators, which you can make through chemistry. I believe you can also buy them from the scientist in Tarrant.

It's on the island that you can visit only once; if you talk with some of the inhabitants of the community there, they'll offer you side quests. One of those was to hunt for ancient tech at a place called Shades Beach, at the northwestern end of that island.
Speak softly, and carry a big stick. Or better yet: a big, sharp blade. :D
