Question about CEP and PRC

Does CEP and PRC packs add their content to the main game/main single player campaign or is their content only for user created campaigns/scenarios ?

There is an overrride version of PRC that can be used with the main campaign and expansions - used it a number of years ago and it can be buggy during the character creation - but you can use a third party character creator to get around that.

CEP for the most part is only available in .hak format and if you added that much information to the override the game would never load. The NWN module files are read only, but you can make a copy, open them up save them - rename them and move them into main game module directory (having backed up the original files) and try that - but chances are you will crash your computer in the attempt.

Oh, but then the same stays true for simple modules - they don't add anything to the main campaign, right ?

PRC adds to the main campaigns, and requires characters that start out with any content from the PRC to be created with their character creator. A very simply process. I heartily recommend it, it has enhanced the OCs tremendously for me.
