Is it just me or is two World 2 REALLY BORING AND SLOW
Ok i bought two worlds 2 and I just cant get into it. Its boring and fighting isnt that great im thinking about selling it. So to get to my question should i sell Two worlds 2
I rented Two Worlds II because I heard it was much, much better than the first one and actually worth looking at. I played a few hours into it, and it had...its points, but I got bored very quickly. The environments were cool, and the crafting system was sort of interesting, but neither could pull the overall game. I was actually fairly interested in the beginning, but as the game progressed I felt more and more of a lack of direction and story, and the characters I came across the further into the game I got were more and more undefined.
Also, much to my irritation (this is probably what turned me off to the game, actually), for some reason the game was too large for my screen. I have never had this problem with any other game in my life, but never being able to see the rightmost button option or things on the far left didn't help my disposition towards it.
I will admit, though, that it is much better than the first one.

"And on the third hand..."

Maybe try setting the resolution of your computer the same as the resolution of the game? I am not having that problem.
I am having fun with the multiplayer co-op with my brother. He has a mac and I have one with a windows partition so its an opportunity to play a co-op game with him. He hasn't played many video games since super mario brothers so he is pretty impressed  The story and characters are kind of fishy in the multiplayer campaign, but I don't think ANYONE plays an action adventure for the story haha. I played the single player through the tutorial and the characters did look much improved from the first game.
In co-op its pretty cool with i-chat, don't know if you can do that with skype? The graphics look great though I am really not sure what the state of the art is and they are plenty good looking for me.
I like the combat much more than two worlds one which got a little boring after 20 hours or so. I am known to like this type of game so maybe I like it just because I enjoy the genre. Action adventure. My favorite is dungeon lords. Does it have any puzzles or elaborate dungeons/ruins?

Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
I guess it's a matter of taste, but how far in the game have you progressed?GreenCronic -.- wrote:Ok i bought two worlds 2 and I just cant get into it. Its boring and fighting isnt that great im thinking about selling it. So to get to my question should i sell Two worlds 2
I generally liked the first major Island (with Hatmandor city; I think), especially working for the criminal underground gangs.
The second major island (the one with the university) wasn't that interesting, except for the swallows; the swallows is an interesting place with interesting quests, but much like the rest of the game it doesn't realize it's full potential - the seeing ghosts and memory imprints could have been implemented and used better.
The third "chapter" you're stuck in the Swamp. It's a place they could've expanded upon way more than they did (there's not much in the ways of optional quests or choices), but it's one of the best parts of the game (like the swallows it's kind of witcher-like).
The fighting doesn't really change (at least not in principle), but you do get a lot of new moves that will keep it "fresh". Fighting with magic is not one of the game's strenghts but melee fighting is; the new attack skills add some pretty satisfying moves imo.
It's weird that they've changed the degree of freedom in how you customize your character in comparison to the first game. You can't effectively throw fireballs and such as a warrior in Two Worlds 2 (you now have to equip a magic staff! when casting spells), you are much more restricted compared to Two Worlds 1!
Some of the voice acting is okay, but a lot of it is below average and sometimes it feels like they haven't edited the lines properly as it doesn't really make any sense (especially when you're talking to the dragon queen).
The story is better than its predecessor, but at the same time they've changed certain aspects, so that in relation to Two Worlds 1 it doesn't quite make sense.
It is far better than Two World 1, but like it's predecessor it doesn't fulfill it's potential in terms of the story, the gameplay or the choice/consequenses aspect.
To answer your question: If you've reached the first major island (the one with the desert and savannah and Hatmandor city) and you've played the game on that island for a lot of hours and don't find it interesting, then no it wont get any better (sell it!). If you haven't progressed that far give it another chance it is a fairly good game beneath the many flaws.
And as it was mentioned the online co-op part adds a little extra to the exeperience.
TAKR, have they put more energy into the dungeons with elaborate non-generic environments? I thought both the landscape and the cave I have just gone through in co-op are much more interesting than the areas in two worlds one. At the same time the outdoor area in the the co-op is more linear like icewind dale II.

Yes there is much more detail and variety in the dungeon/cave environment - I haven't finished the co-op yet, but as far as I know it's no more than 16-20 hours long, so it's good to see that the developers still invested time enough to move beyond generic dungeons etc.
In the single player part of the game there is much more freedom of movement in the outside areas and only few quest-locked areas.
