The Witcher 2 walkthrough

Post by vanyel »

I was just wondering if anyone knows when the walkthrough for The Witcher 2 is going to be available? It's been almost 3 weeks since the game was released and it still says "Coming soon!".

As The Witcher 2 is quite a big game it will definitely take some time to write a good, detailed walkthrough. All I can suggest is to be patient, finding everything from the game is not a easy task, and then all those information must be written in understandable form, as well as annotated maps must be created. I believe they are going to upload the walkthrough in parts, or at least that has been the most common way here lately.

No problem. I'm mostly just curious... and the official game guide sort-of stinks (just like with the first game).

Thanks for the info.

It might be a while. I was supposed to do the walkthrough, but the game in its current form makes me motion sick, and I can't play it. Hopefully at some point a patch or a mod will allow the camera to be zoomed out, and I'll be able to give it another go.

Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Sorry to hear about the motion sickness. I got hit with it when I first started the game, thankfully turning off the motion blur solved it for me. Is it just the angle of the camera that's bothering you?

The closer the camera gets to the character, the more I can't play a game. I can't play first-person perspective games at all. The way Geralt lunges around gets to me, too.

I found a place where you can request that a specific mod be made. You might want to check it out. the Witcher 2 Mod Requests

Here is the current list of mods: Full List of Mods - The Witcher 2 - Forum - - GOG.com

I Agree..first witcher's camera wasn't so close..birdeye view forever, and stop with maps following the movements, that make me crazy, I'd like to move map and carachters freely, I'd like to point to my character where to go and look at him going there (remember Baldur's gate?)..

Ah, by the way WHERE THE HELL IS THIS ODRIN??

I KNOW! The first time I played the game, I could only last for an hour! After that I felt like seasick or something... :( :( :(
