Hey guys, I'm stuck between choosing to play as a F/M/T and a Bounty Hunter. Now that Yoshimo's betrayed me, I'm either going to pick up Haer'dalis or something else.
Something else:
Spawn creature with cool name e.g. Wolf using console
Ctrl+q him to join party
Shadowkeep him to make exactly like the Bounty Hunter setup i was going to use
So should i do this, or get Haer'dalis and spend eternity Shadowkeeping my character to change his class?
Modifying NPCs?

You could switch to a multiplayer game and create a custom Bounty Hunter, or you might be able to use the Level 1 NPCs mod to change HD into a Bounty Hunter if you haven't already met him.
Though that might require starting a new game...I'm not totally sure.

Note that if you want to do that, all that setting shadowkeeper will do is set your class to bounty hunter and you'll only gain new abilities as you level up. E.G if you're a 10th-level thief and you set your kit to bounty hunter, you'll only gain bounty hunter abilities starting when you level up to 11th level, and only for 11th level. It doesn't go backward and give you abilities. To do that, you'll need to go to the Innate tab and click the Kit button. Select Bounty hunter from the drop-down, select 001 in the "from level", and select whatever level you are now (10th in this example) in the "to level" and click "ok". That will give you the innate abilities (the ones usable on the Innate F12 tab in game) for a bounty hunter that started at 1 and leveled up to 10.kmonster wrote:You can try using shadowkeeper to change your F/M/T into a fighter/mage/bounty hunhter multiclass. The game engine allows one kit per character.
In this specific case, you'll have too many thief skill points as bounty hunter only gets 20 per level, although you get an extra +15% at level 1 to lay traps. So to be true, you'll need to subtract some thief points.
EDIT - note that what this does is ONLY what it says - set the kit and give you innate abilities. what it does NOT do is grant immunities or other affect-tab items; those are generated at character creation. Examples would be Undead Hunter immunity to level drain, Anti-Paladin (from Tactics mod) dispel-magic on any melee hit, etc. The best way to get those is to use the copy paste functionality on the affects tab of shadowkeeper - open up one save that has a character with the kit whose affects you want (create one in a new game just for this purpose if you don't have one) and one save with the recipient and use the copy/paste buttons and viola! now you're REALLY the kit you wanted.
What i do is this:
Changing a F/M/T to Bounty Hunter
Create a bounty hunter using the pre-generate character thingy in Multiplayer
Export him
Open my Save game and the exported dude
Change my Save guy's level to what the new one has but keep the experience the same
make everything the same as the new guy, except inventory and global variables
Then load the new game and level the new guy up(he still has a lot of experience so he'll level up immediately)
Works quite well. For a F/M/BH I could just add the Set Special Snare, change the Memorization so i can use it 3/4/whatever times a day.
The only thing is I don't like playing as haxxed characters much.

your probably best just using the Innate/level tabs in shadow keeper rather than directly adding the set special snare, but if that works then keep that.Sramsay12 wrote:What i do is this:

if you don't want to use the hacked character don't, no one has a gun to your head.
