Corrupt module?

Post by Marmus5692 »

I have Neverwinter Nights 2: Platinum on Steam. When I attempt to enter Old Owl Well, Bonegnasher's Liar, or the Dwarven scouts camp in the official campaign I get an error message saying that the module cannot be loaded. I've tried to attach a screenshot of the error message, but no matter the format, it won't allow me to post it. I've only had the game for three days. The error says "Could not load the Module. Module file might be corrupt OR it was created using a newer version of the toolset and/or game resources". Can anyone help me fix this?

I think this is a case where you'll need support from the reseller (Steam) or Atari.

My immediate thought is checking for patch updates, but I'm not quite sure how to do this with a download version. (..for those with the DVD it's just part of the auto-run menu.) I would NOT do manual patching if I were you.

Thank you. Believe me, I would've rather had a hard copy, but $7 for the Platinum edition couldn't be beat. I'm starting to regret it now though xD
