Looking for Star Wars group ...

Post by Ruze »

I'm looking for a group, either established or starting fresh, to play Star Wars pnp with. Unless you just happen to live in the Jacksonville, N.C. area, it might be best to try some online tabletops like RPTools or OpenRPG.

If there is any sites that would help me find a group, or if there's already a way to do virtual tabletops for Star Wars, that would be great.

I'm new to the game in general, and haven't played a pnp for many years, so be warned. But I'm a mature gamer with a lot of free time and a good imagination.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The forum "Forum member RPG's" here on gamebanshee is a place where you could start up a game if you want. I also have a game I'm planning to start soon on my forum though (Check my sig). I haven't posted any information yet because it's just a few ideas here and there, but if you're interested in a Star Wars Saga Edition game, by all means.
Listen up maggots, Mr. Popo's 'bout to teach you the pecking order.
It goes you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, Popo's stool, Kami, then Popo.

Interesting

I've done a little research since the post, and would you consider using a program such as MapTool or OpenRPG?

This isn't a requirement for me, by any means. They just seem like well-made programs is all. If your running Skype or using some other method, that's also fine.

What timeframe are you looking to run? My own personal preference would be after the Battle of Endor, but before the Vong invasion. Leaves plenty of room for independently trained Jedi/Sith, former Imperials and warlords, while also allowing for Imperial vs. Rebel fights and lots of criminal activity.

But again, if your running some other time period, from KotOR to Legacy, that might be just as interesting.

We've established a method on my forum for gaming just by posting what we do on there. We also have an honor system for rolling dice, meaning I trust you not to cheat (the game is no fun to cheat anyways), but if I see that you're getting nothing but 15's and up on a D20 for an entire session I'm obviously going to point it out.

Several hundred years after episode 6, or Several hundred years before KoTOR. I don't do historical games, and while the former example will have the history of the galactic empire, there won't be any influence from it on this game whatsoever.
