What Mouse Do You Use?

Post by terran698 »

well my dell optical mouse is finally is showing it age, it double clicks when left clicking once, but i cant blame it as i have been playing diablo 2 with it since 2004. So i "borrowed" a kensiko 3 button ball mouse from my grandmother but i hate the inaccuracy of the ball and the skipping and jerking.

So i am in the market for a new mouse to replace my current mouse so my question is: What mouse are you using? Do you like it? If you like it what do you like about it? And what kind of games do you play (rpg, mmorpg, fps, rts, action, etc.....)?

My mouse has two buttons and a wheel. It has been with me for ages.
Now it's wrapped in duct-tape, otherwise it'd fall apart - but still works!

I could buy a new one, but it has been with me for so long... ;)

I played all games with it. From turn based, through wild FPS (online ones too) and MMO's. MMO's was its biggest test, because i'm a clicker.
For quite some time my left hand was paralyzed, and i had to do everything with just mouse.
Still killed stuff with no problem.. Just had to link "Move onward" to right mouse button.

What i'm saying here.. Buy exactly the same mouse as you had before. One that you're used to is the best one.

I use a Revoltec Fight Mouse Pro... I settled on this one after spending years using the same (all be it I went through 4 of them) Logitech cordless 5-button mice - the fact they were cordless was why I went through 4 of them. I got used to the weight of the batteries - and found most corded mice too light.

The Revoltec is corded (as per my wife's insistance) and I love it. It has a chamber for weights that can be added added and 3 programmable configurations that can be activated from a button on the main body. I tend to need a 5 button mouse, as I've never felt comfortable using WASD when playing games and prefer the arrow keys, so having extra buttons close to hand I really like. I did have a ****ty Saitek Gaming Mouse that had 6 buttons, but could never click the one on the pinky side, so it was pointless.

Only thing I will say is, if you want cordless don't buy one that has a Cradle! The battery life sucks and when you are out of juice it takes an age to recharge to gaming potential!
Two wrongs don't make a right... but three lefts do!

I use an optical mouse. It is so flexible to use and points all directions given by single touch. Mostly i love it for its size, which is so small and easy for handling.

I use a Razer Naga. the many buttons aren't needed for all games, but come in handy for many
I don't care, I'm still free. You can't take the sky from me

I use a Logitech LX3 optical (two button + wheel), play all sorts of games and never had a problem with it or any other Logitech tool. Not everyone likes them but they have always served me well.

Have tried wireless mice, but got fed up with the batteries running out at the most inconvenient times. I also remember the days of Amiga mice, which weren't even digital, a real pain in the derriére they were!
