Mages collective problems... spoilers probably

Post by FireLighter »

I did the quest where you have to give the potions to one of the two templars, I gave it to the guy in redcliffe which you're supposed to in order to continue the chain. But looking at my quest log it says I gave it to him "harrith" but it's under justice must be served side of the completed quest name... and that way I haven't been able to do the rest of the chain... Is this a bug? I know I gave it to the right guy... this is the second playthrough that's happened to... What'd I do wrong if anything?

Never come across this bug, but the two quests (A Gift of Silence & Justice must be Served) are pretty much the same. Did you give the 10 lyrium potions to the Templar by the Windmill (redcliff village)? Or to the one in Denerim?

And the only chain in this is the availability of the FINAL quest (Defending the Collective/Defying the Collective), which is only available after ALL Collective quests are completed, and MUST be done before Landsmeet (else the Defending part is lost).

Never come across this bug, and the Wiki doesn't list it.

EDIT: Is there a listing in either completed or active quests for Gift of Silence? Once the potions are given, the other part is not doable, and might have been considered completed as such. If it is, simply visit one of the Collective Questgivers.

Like I said I gave it to the guy in redcliffe yes. But yeah, I've started the landsmeet and finished origins already, moved onto awakening. Just wondering how to fix it before my next play through, but I think thats what was up. I started the landsmeet and all that but hadn't done the scrolls of balastor quest completion yet. That might be it, but yeah it said it was justice must be served even though I never talked to the guy in denerim (the knight commander). Thanks again, I'll finish all the quests before landsmeet if I play through again.
