I am in the beginning of castle jhareg and I took the path of wisdom or whatever. I got the magic item, but I come to the door at the end and it is locked beyond a rogue or bashing power so I need a trigger. I have picked up all the items in the chests and I don't understand what to do..

Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
Figured it out. There is a lever that on the floor that opens the door.
