Jade Empire on Win 7 64 bit

Post by GawainBS »

I was reading around how to get this to work, and apparently, you have to install DX 9.0c. Can anyone tell me if I can go ahead and do that? Would that cause me to have issues with other Win7 things? Does 9.0 override DX 11? Or are they installed side-by-side?

Thanks in advance!

Uhm, I might be wrong here, but isn't dx 11 that runs on windows 7 a superset of dx 9.0c ? I think it contains all the files that you would already have in a dx 9.0c package.

In theory, yes. But it doesn't. The only online help I found mentioned installing DX 9 from the disc, but that didn't solve anything. So I'm happy to hear any and all suggestions.
