I've lost my donkey!

Post by mr_sir »

I bought a pack donkey (Britney from one of Emma's mods). I told her to stay and do what she wants for a while but now when I try to use the ring to call her she doesn't come. I'm kind of wondering if she has died somewhere but she is not where I left her, nor is her body there. She had loads of my gear I was keeping on her too. Does anyone know if there is a way to locate her? Or a way to find her body if she has died so I can collect my stuff?

I never had much luck with those rings.

Once when I added a mod after the donkey mod, the donkey vanished. I eventually found it back at the vendor's just outside of Suran.... minus the gear I had stored with it... Fortunately it was just a NOM sleeping roll and fire kit, so it wasn't a big deal.
But... if you've lost lots of equipment you may have to edit it back in.

Thats the thing - I haven't added or removed any mods. She just vanished when I went into the abandoned shack outside Gnaar Mok :(

Guess I'm going to have to go to an earlier save and have a look what items she was carrying then try to remember what new items she had since then. Oh well, guess I've got an a hour or two on the construction set looking up item codes ...

Thanks for the help DW :)

It's a problem with the companion code. I suggest always looking around to make sure your companions have made it along with you whenever you enter an inside space, and again leave for the vast outside one.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Solution

I realize this is a 4 year old thread, but I managed to solve the problem, so I thought I'd post thisin case someone else googles this page. You have to type "coe 0,0" in the console, you will end upin the center of the world, and your donkey should show up. Be warned, this is a hostile area.
