Looking for a mod!

Post by Imamar »

Hello
I remember like 6 months- 1 year ago, was it from Germany, came this totally new kind of mod to Oblivion. It was more like total conversion.
I just cant remember the name of the mod. It was big deal when it came out, so I'm sure someone remembers it. My mind has gone blanc because too much paralyze spells in Oblivion :p

This other RPG name reminds of it: "Drakensang" .. Dunno why.
Any one?

You're probably talking about Nehrim.

Found here.

Darn, this looked really good, I spent ages downloading it but unfortunately even the 'English' version is in German with English subtitles, and I can't hack subtitles. I tried the forum to find out if they are ever intending to bring out a genuine English version, but even there you hav e to be able to speak German in order to register. Shame about that.

Well I gave it anopther go, turned voices off which helped, but far from impressed. I was about to die of terminal boredom when the game rescued me by completely locking up; I won't bother again!

Wow, that's surprising. A lot of people love it. They even had a full page article written up about how good it is in PC Gamer magazine a few months back.

Well unfortunately the opening dungeon put me right off; wandering around an apparently endless mine in the dark with an unkillable troll on the loose with just one spell and a dagger isn't my idea of fun. Only one torch, which didn't last very long at all, and an ally who commits suicide against said troll hho's body is unlootable! There seemed to be prospects of a good mod in there somewhere, but it was hiding in the darkness.
