Looking for mod for more starting exp

Post by Sykar »

Hey folks, I am looking for a small mod which let's you start BG 2 with the Tales of the Sword Coast exp cap instead of just the classic game's xp cap.
I cannot seem to find any mod. Is there any out or do I have to cheat?
I beat Tales of the Sword Coast a couple of times already but I do not want to always play through BG 1 + Addon again.

Do you want to increase your starting xp in BG2 to the level of TotSC? If so you can use shadow keeper.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

I know that. It'd be just nice if I do not have to resort to cheating. :)

Even easier

CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXP("xxxxxx")

You do have to enable you cheats by adding "DebugMode=1" under game opeions in your INI file.
:) Once again time to give someone the boot to make room for Coran. LOL :)

What's the difference between using Shadowkeeper and using some other mod to change things. Though Shadowkeeper can be used to cheat, so can other mods or even the game itself. It's up to you to keep your concience clear I'm afraid. Shadowkeeper isn't intended to be for cheating, just for modifying the game in some way, sometimes in ways the developers didn't intend, sometimes to correct mistakes they made.

If you really want to cheat all you have to do is create a character in ToB and import into Tutu/BGT or even SoA. Now that's really cheating! But you don't have to use anything but the game itself to do it.
