Witcher 2 - Chapter #2 - route help - found it.. disregard

near the end of chapter I think.. on 'The Siege of Vergen' quest..

I've talked with the she-troll, encountered the male troll, told hiom wife would b ok unless she met a kaedweni unit.. he took off attacking enemy units, i followed.. we reached a barricaded area, i had assumed the troll would destroy that barricade and i could proceed, apparently not.. according to the map, i now need to go to the underground tunnel i visited early in the chapter, but as i recall, the entrance was onl;y accessible by going thru that 'town' in the middle of the map.. that are's now blocked off as well.. so how do I get there?
