I just used Google to look up some information on SW:TOR and I mistakenly wrote 'galaxies' in the search bar instead of 'old republic'. Which got me thinking.. what's up with that weird plural? I think most us of have played at least one Star Wars game or have seen the movies. We have heard of the Core Worlds and the Outer Rim and such and maybe have seen that picture of the entire galaxy at a distance.
Let me just set this straight, I am not a Star Wars fan or Galaxies player. I know next to nothing about it. But a little bird told me there is really only one other lore-relevant galaxy in the Star Wars universe: the original home of the Yuuzhan Vong. But AFAIK the Yuuzhan Vong aren't even part of the Star Wars: Galaxies franchise.
So why is it called Star Wars: Galaxies and not Galaxy?
