I was watching the rewind video for skyrim on youtube and I saw this comment.

"One thing i would like to say about the Empire after the oblivion crisis. As everyone should know after Oblivion the empire had no emperor. they tried desperately to find a new emperor but soon a war broke out for Imperial City and one man won. The blades would not accept that and tried to find the real heritage for the throne. The new emperor would not accept that and ordered the blades to be executed but some got away and ran away to Skyrim where they found Dovaahkiin. Since dovaahkiin is a dragon born he is the true heir of the throne but the emperor got news about this and ordered the excecution that would hav ekilled you. But the blades come and save you and this is when Skyrim starts. I am not sure if the blades find you before or realize who you are under the excecution."

Seems like a nice start to the game, but if this is right the beginning of the game is ruined for me. What do you guys think about this? Does it match up with the elder scroll lore?

"Known under the names Tiber Septim, General Talos, the Dragonborn, and Ysmir, Tiber Septim was an emperor of Nordic descen";
"Ysmir, Dragon of the North.The Nordic aspect of Talos. He withstood the power of the Greybeards' voices long enough to hear their prophecy. Later, many Nords could not look on him without seeing a dragon."
This is from the lore section of uesp and it along with other things found there including "the pocketguide the empire: 1st edition" seems to indicate that you might be right about the beginning of the game. Dragonborn, the connection to Skyrim and to the power of the voice (shouts) are all things the last dragonborn will have in common with Tiber Septim. Maybe the last dragonborn will end up as the new emperor (if not in the game - then it might be the beginning of a journey towards power) of course this is all speculation.

Follow the guard who keeps telling you to follow him. There is a pointer over his head, so not too hard to find if he has carried on without you.mewp wrote:I would add this. I figure that the dragon came so that wouldn't die but how do I get out of this town?
