Drizzt Saga : I Can Have A Moonblade!!!???
Hello Fellow Gamers!
I just installed the Drizzt Saga Mod, & I have heard about the possibility of having your own moonblade...
Now I am a HUGE Elaine Cunninham fan, & I would love the idea of owning a moonblade. Now here is my question : what do I have to do to own the moonblade. Obviously I should pick an Elf (maybe half elf) & a good alignment character, but what exactly do you have to do for the Moonblade to accept you? If you have to spoil some of it, go right ahead but if you can I would like it to be at least a little bit of a surprise
My thanks in advance

You just have to accept all the quests offered. You will find it inside a chest and as an elf I have had no problem in picking it up. I don't know if you have to be good, after all Xan is Lawful Neutral. Why he isn't good, I have no idea!Jared4224 wrote:Hello Fellow Gamers!

If you want to test whether you can use the sword use shadowkeeper to add F_MOONSW.itm to your inventory. You get offered the quest after freeing Cattie Brie.
Right, major problem :
I'm in Hell right, Regis just teleported me there, but when I fight the first enemy in the original room (where you meet Wulfgar) my game crashes.Any ideas?
EDIT : Right, the main problem is that certain enemies will attack me if i attack them. For example i can stealth drizzt & have him attack certain enemies, but if other enemies see him, the game crashes. One idea i have is to stealth drizzt & Crtl - 8 them to death, but when i tried that, as soon as the gore affect took place, game crashes. Seems any interaction with them is crashing the game, what should I do?

Obvious answer is to go back to an earlier saved game, before going to the nine hells and start that bit again. it could be a corrupt game file that is the problem.Jared4224 wrote:Right, major problem :

I had a similar problem in a later part of the saga and using an earlier game solved the problem. One thing that I have noticed is that if the enemy is only partially visible it occasionally cannot cope. This is certainly true of frost giants and might be the problem here. Trial and error is my only suggestion I'm afraid.
Right, was able to get through the hell thing, thanks very much!
But i have another problem (the moonblade better be worth it...) Anyway, I just killed a bunch of demons in the Storm something mountains but i cant find the child that the bear tribe wants me to rescue . Also, where i killed the demons there were a set of stairs that were very moldy so i could not climb them. What should I do next (Spoilers are welcome)

That isn't the area where you find the baby.
All you get in that area are some items, (quite useful ones).
If I remember correctly, you got there by buying a windwalker scroll. Please tell me if I am right, as my memory is a bit hazy on this one.
To get to the area that you want, I think that you just walk north from the place where you were given the quest to find the baby. Again, please let me know if I am correct.
I think that I must be getting old.

I certainly like the mod. I would play it just before the final battle as some of the items are WAY overpowered. However, you need them to complete the saga which is not easy. There is one last little bit that so far I have chickened out on, as it is so hard . In my current game I intend to change that sentance to "I USED to chicken out on" , but I still have to get there. Currently gone through candlekeep and have started on the stone of Askvaar quest. If I complete that, it will be Durlag's Tower and only then will I contemplate The Drizzt Saga.
It is most certainly compatable with Tutu, but I wouldn't use the Huge World Map if I were you. It is way too hard to find areas that you want.

The Saga kept CTD-ing me, interger error. And not every now and then- EVERY time I even spotted an enemy; BANG CTD. I got to Bruenor's house and on by sheer stubbornness. But at the battle where you free Catti-Brie, CTD-CTD-CTD. And one of them I almost had all the enemies finished.
Wise, is it worth CTRL-Y-ing them? And if I do, is the end of the quest? I have freed no child from anyone? Or should I just go back to Baldur's gate, kick the Icewind Dale crew, sell the loot and continue my own quest with all the IMBA items? (Or possibly without, by Bhaal they are IMBA).

Found a cave complex with a hooded figure that I did in.
Still no child and when leaving the area I got teleported back to Ulgoth's Beard. I now have Drizzt and all his crew, and lots of IMBA items for my sojourn in Baldur's Gate. That is not really fun I find.
So, I am not too keen on that mod; I have now given it a try, but will not do so again. It adds nothing to the story really (at least so it seems to me), rather it adds lots of fights that are too difficult and can only be won by using the IMBA weapons, armour and items you get in the same quest. To me it seems to be no more than a thin pretext to turn BG even more into a Monty Haul adventure and flash some of Drizzt's enemies And with overpowered NPCs, and as Minsc, Dynaheir and Branwen are all up in IWD now, I am also prevented from exchanging them for my balanced group.
Further, the mod is far from Canon, apparently the developers have not read much of Salvatore; Jarlaxle with an axe and putting himself in a situation where he has no escape! Jarlaxle fighting and taking a risk with no gain? Not very Jarlaxle-like.
So, I do not really like it much. The Stone of Akvariu...whats-its-face, I have seen no sign on starting. I hope that it will proove more balanced and intriguing than DS.
The Grey Clan should start soon, I tried that once before. I rather like that more, nicely challenging, yet not too much.
That is my opinion, yours might differ.
Edit, found the tribe. Still not too happy, but let us see whether it can change my mind.
