Diablo lore / novels

Post by GawainBS »

Is there a good Wiki/website which contains all of the Diablo lore? Even better: which novels are considered canon?

Thanks in advance!

I have been out of the lore circles for Diablo for a while, planning to get in to it again with the Book of Cain, it will be a encyclopedia like book of Diablo lore that is supposed to be written by Deckard Cain and contains all of his knowledge about Angels and Demons and the Heavens and Hells from what I understand(it comes out Tuesday, the same day as swtor early access starts so it will probably be a long while until I get around to reading it :p ).

I read the Sin War trilogy way back when they came out, they were pretty average books, but they gave some good information about the world and how it was made and why angels and demons aren't invading it in full force, but it was pretty meh at the same time because the main character was the most horrendously overpowerd character I have ever had the misfortune to read about.

Edit: It seems I was wrong about the release date of the Book of Cain, the release date seems to have been pushed back, Amazon is listing it has coming out January 10, 2012.

This post actually got me in to a Diablo 3 mood, I just finished watching this years Diablo 3 lore panel, and it had a good amount of lore infromation. I would highly recommend watching it, here is a youtube link to it: BlizzCon 2011 - Diablo 3 - Lore Panel (Full) - YouTube

While I immensly appreciate the thought of linking the panel, I can't stand these "informational videos". I'm old fashioned, and I need to read my info. I don't have time to sit and listen. The same reason I can't stand podcasts.
But again: I appreciate the thought.

Hehe, no problem, I love podcasts and such myself :p

I had a look over the most popular Diablo wiki and it seems to be accurate and have good lore information, might be worth checking it out: Diablo Wiki
