Can't Cheat

I can't insert Debuge Mode=1
I have a desktop, which I normally use for SOA and TOB is the cheat mode is easily added.
On my laptop, when I try to enter the cheat code, it asks if I want to save it, and then it opens my docs file to save. When I click on it to save, it says I access denied.
The Laptop is almost as powerful as the desktop, so no problems there.
The baldurs.ini page is different on the two computers, although the game plays perfectly on both.
Anybody else had this?

You're using Windows 7, and the game is installed in Program Files. (no, it's not a question, it's THE problem)

Thanks for that. Forgive my densness - but if I installed it outside program files, it would be ok?

Make a folder under your C drive and name it Games. Install all your games there and this will solve future game problems with Windows 7 and Program Files.
