It's much slower paced, and the combat system is more complex. The world is worked out better, though.

Much like it, more detailed world, graphics are better, as might be suspected when comparing to a 10 year old game, and it doesn't look to be tile based like NWN was. Non-companion NPC's seem to have more of a live of their own. Not as much of a dungeon crawl as NWN could be at times. It does have puzzles and riddles. Less Fed-Ex quests in favor of in-character quests.

If you liked NWN1/2 you will like this game. It's very similar gameplay/engine. The rules are different than D&D, and take a bit of getting used to. But there's a wiki floating around the internet if you can't figure something out. I found the game a bit more challenging than NWN1/2, but I welcome that as I found both games on the easy side. I didn't like the camera controls, as they were a bit limited, but were functional so it's not a game killer.

So yea, I'd recommend it, if you liked either NWN1 or 2.
