I'm happy to report that we're with an entirely new ad agency as of today, so please let me know if the viewing issue is fixed in whatever corner of the Earth you're viewing from.

And for what it's worth, please accept my apologies for the major inconvenience this has caused all of you. This unfortunate situation was out of my control, as I literally couldn't even get a single reply to the many emails I sent over the last three months. That will not be a problem going forward, I assure you.

Working fine here in Finland again, thanks a lot Buck!

By they way, I noticed new kind of advert today:
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h147/ ... Advert.png

The strange thing is, there was no advert, just that screen. After I click the button skip the add I was directed to GB normally. Haven't yet seen this advert again.

This doesn't mean that this should be removed, instead I'm just curious if I should be expecting those screens more regularly from now on?

Yeah, that's an interstitial ad that will display once every 24 hours per person. It's possible that there won't always be an ad for every country, but either way, you can skip it easily enough.

Some might find that it's a small inconvenience, but trust me when I say that it's a necessity for me in order to secure GameBanshee's financial future.

Thought so, it was just kinda weird that such screen would appear without actual advert.

If it's only once per 24 hours it's not a big deal, especially if it means the site is otherwise working properly and the financial future is secure.

Perhaps it has something to do with my internet browser settings, but the advert is not showing every 24 hours for me. It is showing every time I navigate a window. Even replying to this thread caused the advert to show for me (just clicking on the site and clicking on a few topics has caused it to show for me nearly a dozen times).

Minor issue - and certainly one I would deal with to keep reading this site. But I thought I would mention it in case it was an issue for others

In a similar situation as Noxamoi. When I try to access the site I get no advert and when I click skip - it end up in an endless loop. I could only get into the site by deleting the cookies the advert created. I hope to god I wont have to go through this every 24 hours!

I can't view the site at all on Firefox now. I get a looping skip this ad message that repeats forever. This occurs whether ad block is disabled or not.

Only way I can view the site is in IE. Not my preferred browser.

Location East Coast Canada.

same here

I am also having problems accessing the site, with the same looping "skip ad" screen plaguing me as well. Even if I let it run its course, it will just loop back and run it again.

My Firefox crashed recently and hasnt recovered as yet, so I have been forced to use IE on my laptop and that is the only way the site will work (mostly).

any time i attempt to access the site on my google tv(my preferred method of surfing) or my droid, it just loops that ad screen again and again.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I haven't been able to replicate the problem here in the US and the only comments I've received have come from outside of the US, so we suspect it might be a Canadian- and/or European-specific ad campaign. The most likely offender has been disabled, so I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know if the issue is now gone or if it continues to be a problem.

If the problem does still exist, please let me know what browser and version number you're using. Thanks!

Still happening Buck

There is a redirect URL I am pasting in here that may help. I should also add the no ad actually shows. Just a blank white screen. Your sponsers are not benefitting at all here and maybe that knowledge can light a small fire under their rear ends.

http://www.ga mebanshee. com/ interstitial/interstitial. html?oldurl =http://gamebanshee. com/

I added a few spaces to hopefully keep your link tags from altering it on me.

Same thing here (in the US). Typing in gamebanshee.com brings me to http://www.gamebanshee.com/interstitial ... nshee.com/ and a looping ad... clicking skip just restarts it, as does waiting the 30 seconds.

Also, this is on Chrome if that makes a difference.

I'm using the latest version of Firefox and although I'm not getting the loop I also don't get an ad, just a blank page. This was the same before updating Firefox last night.

Greetings.

I am having troubles accessing the website using Firefox v10.0. The advertisment won't go away, it is in endless loop. Also, the ad is always showing the blank page. There is only grey bar with GB logo, the timer and "skip this ad" button!

I am from Croatia (Europe)

As I mentioned earlier I'm now using Firefox !0, apart from the absence of an actual advert I experienced no problems; the skip now button works fine, and if I wait for the automatic redirect it links to GB's front page without problems. I'm in the UK, not that that should make any difference.

I have Block Popup windows, Load Images Automatically and Enable Java Script all enabled (box checked).

We just made some changes to the code that will hopefully correct the infinite loop problem. If anyone continues to have problems, please clear your browser's cache to load the updated code. Thanks!
