I have an in game problem.

I got the mission to kill the dragon on top of skyborn altar. I got up there, then killed the dragon. From that point, there are 2 problems. 1-the dragon didn't turn to flames and award me a dragon soul. I was able to loot it. 2- There's a word wall there but no word on it. The screen still gets dark, the loud voices etc. but no word. I even ran around the wall to see if it accessible from the back. It was baffling me, so I went looking for a walkthrough. I found one that says that there is supposed to be the shout for frost breath there, but I can't get it.

I tried loading a previous save and playing through it again. Same results.
I tried closing the game and re-opening it. Same results.
I tried fast travelling away and then coming back. Same results.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you check UESPWiki, you should be able to find any workarounds for this problem. If you are playing on a PS3 or XBox 360 you might be out of luck.

It is a known bug that sometimes happens, I have had dragons not disintegrate, but not encountered any problems with dragon walls.

Thanks for the link. I checked it out. No such luck. I've since just continued on. I still make pit stops there when fast traveling in the general direction to see if anything has changed and haven't had any success with that.

if ur pc update from steam may help, im ps3 but saw so many problems im waiting to complete that quest. 1.4 should be out on console hopefully by friday but you never know how long PS and microsoft will take to approve update.

Good point. I just encountered another bug last night, or what I think is a bug. I'm supposed to talk to Legate Rikke in the Rift misson of the civil war quests. She isn't giving me any orders etc. but my journal points me to her. She only gives her standard discussion lines, but nothing related to the mission.

I may just wait for the next update and if it gets fixed.
