Enemies won't die!

When the enemy's health bar is basically depleted, it still won't freaking die! It takes ages for it to drop dead! Anyone know how I can fix this? It's incredibly annoying. It doesn't happen with Elites or Bosses though. But still.

Umm, also- I read somewhere on the world wide web that this happens in Legacy. I haven't played it yet, so no spoilers, please :) Thanks.
