That's pretty much your option. :o

I'd check your quest log for Hagen to see if it was completed or not.

You might need to look around specific forums for the codes, but you should be able to advance the quest using the console.

Codes for items, feats, etc.. can be done fairly easily. Advancing a quest however (other than providing a plot item required for the quest) is an entirely different matter. :(

In other words, it most certainly *could* be done, but the amount of time it would likely take to learn how to do it *correctly* would probably be more than playing the entire game, and certainly more than just restarting the game (..from the perspective of not completing the first chapter).

Unfortunately I know of no one here with that capability.

..and I don't know of a forum like that - even Bioware's. :o

well thanks any way :)

I have to say that is a good example of my problems in life
I always come up with a problem that you could imagine there will be an easy way to solve it but then you find out it's so difficult that I should just give up looking for an answer

Thanks again

More often than not, just reloading a previous save game is the best way forward with NWN2.

Advancing quests via the console is possible, but finding the right strings and integers to change can be tricky (unless you can find a resource which tells you what they are) difficult and can break the game. I had a look on your behalf and this thread from Bioware Social Network might help:

Choose Language | BioWare Social Network

Hope you get through this.

:D

You know, on screen loading you'll often get the phrase:

"Save early, save often."

I suppose they should have added:

..no, seriously - make a TON of save points. ;)

Also, if you don't already know this - there is a the "familiar" bug which can damage any saves. To avoid this you'll need to go into the character sheet and make sure that neither you nor your companions have the summon familiar "ON". IF a familiar is summoned then have the party member un-summon it.

I should also mention that the first chapter (right up to the cut-scene for chapter 2) only represents about 40% of the game. Additionally any weapons or items you might have that you think are great now, probably aren't that great. In fact, the best items are almost all crafted by you. Thieves-guild.net is a good source for crafting information BTW (..though make sure you are looking at the OC crafting guide and not MOTB or SOZ's crafting guide).
