Legend of Grimrock Puzzle Question

So on floor 11 in the Tomb of Designers I'm in the room with the 4 Goromorg statues as well as the text beside each of them saying "Ittna" "Irtep" "Ohuj" and "Illo" in each of the corners. I've looked all over for a hidden switch or some kind of hint but I can't figure anything out about this room and I've also tried thinking of the words as anagrams. But nothing has given and this room is just as blank as when I first walked into it, so my question is if anyone could give me a hint or tip without blatantly telling me what to do in this room?

EDIT: Never mind, I'm an idiot. I figured it out after re-reading the scrolls a few more times.

Grimrock Level 3 HELP !!!!

I am an old wrinkly who loves playing Dungeon Master type games...however I am truly stuck at Tunnels & gate Puzzle ..16...I cannot find the switch to keep the gate permanently open where I can see spider eggs !!! any help appreciated please...

You mean the one with moving teleporters? The trick is to throw a projectile not to the obvious platform (the one on the puzzle) but to a platform on the left side.

Look at your numpad.

0 is where you start, 9 is the obvious platform, one that you shouldn't bother with. The trick is to throw something from platform "6" towards "4" and a platform that is right behind that. This will pop the middle tile, allowing you to.. well.. yeah

Re; Puzzle question

Thanks for replying to my post...I have done that part...it is the section where there are torches on the middle column...I have opened the door opposite the column and the area I am now in is shaped like a figure of 8 marked 16 on the map...one switch on the inside wall that opens a wall between two gates and lets out a spider which I have killed...but the switch on the other side only opens the central gate for a few seconds...and I cannot find the switch that keeps it open permanently...I cannot go any further now I am well and truly stuck !!!...

The switch to open the gate permanently is BEHIND that gate.
You have to use the passage which the spider was occupying to get to the gate in time.

Thank you very much...I have been looking for an extra switch...the walthrough said it was in the passgae just created (the one with the big spider)...I have been looking for something that isnt there !!!!!

Have to abandon grimrock

I have been trying now for over a week to kill the two Adult Herders on level 4...no amount of dodging and fighting can kill them...such a shame I was so enjoying this game...
