Mods: Bizarre French msgs anyone?

Post by Gruntboy »

Anyone get those @pulpa.com messages?

You should have - I got one to gruntboy@gamebanshee.com and now another and a 3rd one to moderators@gamebanshee.com

What's up? Its all the same msg and I'm getting terribly suspicious.

I've gotten one from that adress - to moderators@....

I'm currently seeing what I can do with it - I've tried translating it with Altavista - but haven't gotten much info out of it (yet :D )

EDIT: Can only trace it back to France Telecom - Wanadoo.
There is an abuse-email, if you want it?

EDIT: x2 :@ Grunt. I've PM'ed you.

Xandax - I translated it (basic french skill). :D

Its something about meeting her buddy later because she has to go meet some dude she met on the internet. But I first got one (from "annie") several days ago.

Now I have an identical one from "annie" and a blank reply (except the copied msg) from "puce".

No attachments - either they're forwarded by a virus (not self-perpetuating) or they've got the wrong address??

Well I've only gotten one - but I doubt this is due to virus, more likely spam or error.

I've gotten two of those buggers... Annoying little things. I forwarded it to Buck, and he told me he didn't know either, and that he also got one. To invetigate, I clicked on the link. To my best guesses, it's an e-mail advertising some sort of porn site in french...
