Class capable of soloing IWD II with Fury?

Post by toughchan »

as title says. I am curious if there is any class (multi|dual|single) capable of soloing IWDII with the fury mode enable?. I tried a sorcerer|druid and it was going pretty well (had to reload quite a bit though) but i bumped into a steel wall when I came to blackraven monastery.

Single class sorc should be able to solo the game. It is the most powerful class in the game.

What levels you had with your Sorc/Druid?

I've soloed HoF mode from scratch with a ranger so your sorcerer/druid will definitely be able to. What are your character's stats and levels and which battle exactly is too difficult for you ?

I forgot to mention some of my weird rules:

1. I don't use summon. This includes Animal Companion. (yeah i know it sounds crazy but i don't want to abuse summon :( , i would have used them if the summons were not power uped)
2. No game breaking spell like Improved Invisibility.

That's why i have a lot of trouble in places that have too many enemies (save for the first location because we all know the Goblin Slayer sword right? :p )

In HoF, even a typical goblin hit me for 15-25 dam (while I have Stone Skin) while Orc can do more...and unless i one shot them with Wail of the Banshee. So I am always dead when my protection spell wears out.

I have so far come to the monastery but i'm stuck in the first trial because it requires me to fight against 1 then 2 then 4 then 5 monks at the same time... My Human Sorcerer|Druid is 20/10 now. I'm fearing that I have to kill the monks in the monastery to proceed >.< (but I'm Chaotic Neutral so I prefer to not kill them)

I wouldn't bother doing the eight chambers in HoF mode even without self-imposed restrictions. The following chambers are even more painful.

Improved invisibility has been fixed with the official patch. Without summons and game breaking spells like mirror image it will get very difficult.

well yeah, I know it's a pain to not use summoning spells but the summon is too powerful it's like a game breaking spell. (and let's see, even without summons, I have coped so far with Enchantment spells to charm and stuff-but the monks' resistances are just too much now). So I think i'm stuck here now :( . So is there a class capable of soloing with HoF without summoning spells?

I've heard of others soloing with a monk and a fighter/mage without using summoning spells, I've soloed with a half-orc barbarian so I guess most classes can solo HOF mode without using summoning spells.
Killing the lawful monks fits better to a chaotic character than accepting pointless rules like having to visit the eight chambers in order to be allowed to proceed.
What are your character's stats and sorcerer spells available ?
