Help! I got a bug or a problem with cinematics repeating itself over and over

Post by mrjj0231 »

Hi.

I've spent many hours playing this game and I'm at the part where I'm about to enter Sarevok's temple in undercity.
However when I enter the temple the cinematics play and two seconds after it ends, it repeats itself.. on and on and on.

I've googled the issue and found one thread with a similar problem(but different cinematics) and the resolution was to patch the game.

I found a patch and installed it but it was incompatible with the language of my operating system(which is Korean).. I would even change the language given the hours i spent on this game but apparently i can't.

so i googled some more and found international versions of the patch but they caused errors too.

I'm majorly annoyed right now since I've almost beat the game but i can't

Please, if you can think of any solutions or any suggestions it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Strange. A few things:

Do you have a digital version or the boxed version?

Have you tried running the game as an administrator?

Have you backed up your save files and reinstalled the game?

Sorry that you're having problems. If it's specifically the Korean version that's got issues, you might want to see if your saves are compatible with another version of the game... there might be downloadable language packs out there if you're not comfortable with playing in English.

Thanks for the reply..

I have the box version of the game.

I should be running the game as administrator.

I tried backing up the saves and reinstalling.. same problem.

And I have the English version of the game.. just that the patch i tried installing gave me errors saying that it is not compatible with the language of my operating system(which is Korean). Again, it's the operating system not the game itself that is Korean.

Try enabling the cheat console and placing yourself in that area, thus skipping the cinematic. The area code should be AR0125.

Also, try to look at this thread as well: link.

SOLVED IT!

I looked at the thread you mentioned and tried the totsc patch... apparently the patch i tried before was faulty.

Thanks a bunch

I'm fighting sarevok now and it's hard as a bitch haha
