SPOILER- Killing your Companions

Post by Habib »

Hi all; Im playing a walthrough in which I decided that becouse of being a death god and all, I would try to kill al the NPC I didnt want to bring along.

Im currently playing with a reduced party of 4, in which I only add new NPC´s in order to kill them; I would prefer them to die in some kind of story choice, or by dueling with another NPC, if not by defending a nuetral character (IE; the way Jan turns hostile if you kill his family in front of him).

So far I have;

Aerie: Killed her in the Circus tent, when she was on Ogre form
Imoen: Alive; when I rescue her I plan to take her with my party
Keldorn: Alive; Will Probably die defending the radiant hert memeber
Mazzy: Refused to rescue her from her jail
Minsc: Dead; turned hostile when I poisoned the Druid Grove
Nalia: Yet Alive; I dont know how to kill her
Valygar: Dead; turned him to Tolgerias
Anomen; In my party (made him fail his test)
Cernd: Dead, becosue of the druid grove quest
Haer Dalis: In my party
Jaheira: Same as Cernd and Minsk
Jan: In my party
Yoshimo; I will take him to Spellhold
Edwin: Dead; turned him in to that mage after he got turned into a woman
Korgan: Not recruited yet
Viconia; Killed by fanatics while I chanted

So my question is; How do I kill Nalia, jan, and Korgan?

I believe that, if you take him along, there is a dialogue with Korgan at some point where he brags how he could kick your ass, and you have an option of "bring it on, shorty," or something like that, whereupon he turns hostile on you and you can kill him. I don't know how long you need to travel with him for that, though.

Nalia... well, no idea, actually. Maybe there's some way in her personal quest with the Roenalls? I don't remember. You can always just let her die in battle. When I had Korgan in a kinda-evil party once, he had a conversation with a street hooker which infuriated me to no end. So I stopped healing him (well, Viconia stopped healing him) and he eventually died, killed by some random thugs on the street. I proceeded to remove his gray portrait from the party, and his dead body just lay in the docks, decomposing. Very satisfying.

Just out of curiosity, what do you mean that Keldorn "Will Probably die defending the radiant hert memeber"?

Thanks very much on the Korgan tip; I didnt knew that.

Nalia is a problem; as If you bring her along in her quest you cant kill the aunt (which was my plan all along) and the doesnt have any other family memebers; I will try the cementery quest attacking his to be husband; but i doubt she will defend him.

"You can always just let her die in battle."

Yes, but that doesnt satisfy me; I could do that with any NPC anytime; I want them to suffer just becouse they knew Charname; I want them to realise their cruel destiny; So I preffer them to die in their quests, dialogs, or dueling; or if not by defending their love ones.

"Just out of curiosity, what do you mean that Keldorn "Will Probably die defending the radiant hert memeber"?"

If you attack (and I think that a dialoge options also works for this) the Radiant heart paladins in their own base, they all turn hostile and try to kill you; Including Keldorn and Anome if he was accepted.

Didn't Nalia turn hostile when you attacked her aunt? If she didn't, she should, man! Come on, we're slaughtering her defenseless (if admittedly deserving a smack on the head) aunt! I don't really know, it's been ages since I took her along. But attacking the Roenalls won't do a thing for sure... It's a better bet to see if there's some way to betray her to them. I see how you're roleplaying, but at some points this is going to be a bit of a stretch :D

If you bring her along and threathen to kill her aunt, she asks if you are serious; if you insist on the idea of killing her, Nalia gets angry and tell that he didnt knew commoners could be so angry and resentful, and leaves your party to wait you outside of the fort. If you kill her aunt she wont realise.

If you bring her along and kill her aunt after recuing her (by force attacking), she wont turn hostile (it apears the option to kill her aunt in front of her wasnt in the developers mind, and it makes sense, becosue if she turns hostile, you cant finish the quest)

And if you dont bring her and kill the aunt, she will never notice; aparrently they arent that close.

" I see how you're roleplaying, but at some points this is going to be a bit of a stretch"

I dont think so; there are so many waqys to kill NPC that apparently the developers foresaw that someone might play this way; and if I dont find a way to kill a specific character; I will sacrifice that character in Hell at the end of SOA.

I want in the beggining of TOB to have a party of 4

Charname (Wizard Slayer 13/Cleric)
Imoen (Bhaal Spawn)
Sarevok (Bhaal Spawn)
Hear Dalis (chaos worshiper)

As a Note; I already did Keldorns family quest, Wife is imprisoned and lover is hanged :)
Also, If you attack the daughters Keldorn turns Hostile.
I think I will attack the Radiant heart, Kill Keldorn, then go to his house and Kill her daughters with his sword :)

Note; Nalia doesn not care if you massacre everyone in her fathers funeral, even the minister, which surprisingly isnt a cleric
