Give 5 trash games that you played
What is you 5 trash games that you played. Either MMOS, Console games and RPGs
I don't think I could come up with 5 bad games unless I stretch the time frame back to the Atari 8-bit games. I'll leave off Atari, and say that one bad PC game that I bought, played, and completed was Descent to Undermountain. If there replies from other members in this thread, I expect the Neverwinter Nights game to get mentioned.
I'd rather be part bull than a complete sheep.

Nah, Neverwinter Nights (the original campaign) - wasn't truly bad.. but it wasn't good either. Hordes of the Underdark (expansion) was actually decent.
I've played two other D&D games that were bad, but not quite terrible - the most recent was [Edit] Daggerdale, (..the earlier one: Dragonshard, which was actually an RTS game). If you pay more than 5 US for Daggerdale then you have been ripped-off. It's probably worth about 1.99 US though. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 1.5. It looked like a demo, it played like a demo, it should have been a demo.

Oh, with you with Lionheart.
The Summoner was pretty awful
Restricted Area - absolutely dire Diablo Clone
Blade and Sword - another dire diablo clone, though it had a nice soundtrack and atmosphere.
Battle Realms - That game and I didn't get along.
@ GawainBS - I would like to hear your impressions of Inquisitor as I have only had the briefest of plays so far. Leaving it until after I complete Anachronox.

Two wrongs don't make a right... but three lefts do!

@Scott: Demonstone is worth €10. (GoG, I believe.) It's a typical action game. You can level up your team & buy better gear, and switch between them. I played it twice or thrice. Ruins of Myth Drannor promises a "real D&D" experience, but you level up automatically, feats are totally different, you can't choose your party, combat is LOOOONG,...
@Darth: Inquisitor is slow. Halfway through the simplest fights, your stamina is depleted, halving your attack speed. It regenerates atrociously slow. Hence, plenty of standing around. Graphics are laughable. I love 2D, but that's not an excuse to make a scimitar look like a patatoeknife. (Not sure if this word exists in English, but "Aardappelmeske". ;-)) Dialogue is a wall of text. I love reading (Planescape is my favourite game, probably), but the font is annoying and the English definitely had an English mother or father, but I can't garantuee it had both.

Graci!
Funny, I think my five worst games are the newer ones!
5) For the Utter Boredom Award: Dragon Age: Origins... p*ss-boring story, characters, game play and cut-and-paste setting. Not to mention the ROTFLMAO inducing animated sex scenes for players that don't have the guts to buy real porn (or maybe because fake sex is featured in action movies). Had to force myself to complete this one time.
4) For the Controller-Rage Inducing Award: Fable 2... that disc actually hit the wall! And cracked.
3) For the Pointless Game-Ruining Feature Award: L.A. Noire... since when do you need driving segments in an investigation game? played it for 4 hours and haven't touched it since.
2) For the Biggest Disappointment Award: (Surprise Entry) The Witcher 2... had to play a character I didn't care about in another cut-and-paste setting. Daft combat, too. Worse, because I expected it to be so much more... I finished it and can't be bothered to try and find the other 15 endings.
But the top prize of "Possibly the Wankiest Idea We've Ever Had" Award goes to Mass Effect 3. Includes all of the above categories! This was a f*cking animated movie where you got to press a few buttons! Acres of boring elevator fetch-n-carry (non)action, the controller rage on Rannoch (until you figure out you're only supposed to dodge until you get the time dilation bit), the unkillable Evil Henchman that you can't kill until the end ('cos that's where the Evil Henchman dies in the movies), and all in all, a MASSIVE disappointment.
There. Think that about covers it. Except... Neverwinter Nights. Actually not that bad. Enjoyable at points even. Until you play HotU and realise you wasted 50 hours trying to rescue Aribeth and she gets executed anyway. Great story flow there.

I quite liked Demonstone but had a nightmare trying to kill that huge spider in the caves. Any tips?
GawainBS wrote:Pfew... *scratches head* Long time since I played it. I think I did it by using the Sorcerer and take potshots at it, shielding when necessary.
Many thanks! I'll just have to try that one again. I seem to remember the Sorcerer didn't do too much damage to it. Maybe I should have upgraded the ranged weapons for the Rogue and Warrior as well.
The other characters in Demonstone have limited ranged ammunition. Your best bet to take out the spider is to use the Sorcerer. The other characters give tips on when to block, so after a block you should attack with range. You'll want to have the Sorcerer using fire attacks on a later level.

Many thanks! I'll try replaying that after going back and upgrading the sorcerers attacks.
I don't judge games by the endings. I've finished games that have had short endings, bad endings, or cliffhangers(it's possible to finish a game that has all three like Drakan: Order of the Flame).
P.S. - I enjoyed Drakan: Order of the Flame despite the previously mentioned ending.
