Questions about the Underdark (SPOILERS!)

Hey, I have now been trudging through the Underdark for awhile, but happened to read somewhere that I can actually come back there? So, overjoyed, I intend to enter Ust Natha and try to get back to Athkatla as soon as possible. However, I read that most of the quests in Ust Natha are timed; I'm wondering if it's possible to skip those quests for now and then come back and finish them later without jeapordizing the time limit?

You will need to do a number of quests in Ust Natha in order to reach the surface again. Once you have been to the surface, doing any more quests in Ust Natha are off the table - theres no going back there.
