Lets wait for a patch....

Post by Claudius »

1,at shadow ruin, there are many monster drop diffirent kind of shadow gems, some are quest related, some are trashs, but they all have a quest item mark.if you pick up all the shadow gems, most of them are no use, and just occupied all you inventory slot.you can't get rid of them.that seems a bug.

Here is some bad news. I am going to go back to titan quest and wait for a patch.

Here are some of my thoughts on the game:

Why does rogue have the only property of no second tier till late in the game?

More hotbars please!

Some kind of explanation of which skills are 1 (etc) point wonders rather than a place to invest.

Status effects balanced so that it is not mandatory to cheat and esc to make them wear off.

A use for money in the game. Maybe I am wrong and scrolls could be good?

Expanding quest item inventory.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

Rogues get second tier skills, but I don't think they really need them. Dual wield HURTS if you stat strength. That, plus pickpocket making enemies drop all kinds of awesome stuff (Seen Great Totemic Mace, Totemic Runemace, WInter dagger, winter katana, some nether strike sword, etc.) and they get sneak to avoid/escape battles that are too hard. Rogues are just a bit awesome now. OP if anything. Budoka gets KungFu and Backstab (I think), and I know Nightblade gets Backstab. Haven't gone any other rogue classes yet to see what they get. Try using rogues differently. They hurt plenty. I've been going dual sword and statting strength. I easily hit for 100+ without criticals, and that number goes up quickly. I was starting to get bored because I could kill anything with ease.

Some status effects are a bit too OP. The chance of occurrence is too high on say, entangle. Makes it too easy to stunlock. Also vampiress has 75% para 75% sleep chance per hit, iirc. You can see monster weapons with a little hex/memory editing.

Agreed on quest inventory. Takes up way too much space. More hotbars are needed as well, for sure. By the time I got out of the catacombs in fargrove, I was hurting for hotbar space.

My main complaints are Dual 2H not working, auto-weapon swapping, no skill descriptions, inaccurate/incomplete info in the character screen, being able to stat skills past levels that give benefits (scout at 20/21, acrobatics, etc), and no death penalty. Also I wish the game had (much) harder difficulty settings.

I think the game difficulty is way higher from enemy casters. But yeah death widows and other 'fodder' are more slice and diceable than vanilla. Vanilla was definitely easier. Unless I am just in a chokepoint where it will get easier. Basically enemy casters with fireball have given me reloads.

I take a lot of damage from casters as I usually go pure melee builds. I suspect if I went caster this wouldn't be a problem. Really though at this point hardly anything can do any real damage to me, though. Level 28 with a whole 20 points in vitality, and I can kill a fire drake in say, 10 seconds? They have to roast me for a lot longer than that before their damage matters.

I have 30 vitality at level 18 and I cannot beat the 4th trial of the ancient. I can kill the ghost knights easy, but the fireballs get me.

On rogue I think they are *relatively* balanced now. But the kicker is that they cannot possibly gain a second tier class until you reach the forbidden lands!

I did this at 17 with a fighter and it took me a couple of tries. You can quaff a healing potion and a greater healing potion every 20 seconds to heal 300 points. You can use your crystal of life once to fully heal. That should be enough healing to see you through.

Did you select a second core class? Adept would give you even more healing and a fire ward. Mage might allow you to kill the elder before the trial starts. Fighter would give you access to more weapons and armor.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

I'll give another try with my new character. I am making an adept/rogue.. I tried both potions on cooldown but I didn't use greater heal edit - > magic spell. My new character has 5 scout so far and that should help.

Ward of fire is the second highest level celestial spell in the game and it is not sold to a druid by either fargrove or arrindale guildmaster.

He hurt me around that level. If you hide under the platform he's on, he can't attack with fireballs. I'm making a caster this time around. Going to try and get my dex and magic high enough that I can kill him, just for fun.

The Lethal Strike skill can take out any opponent like using easy kill or one hit kill in other games.

Several places, shadow island in particular, there's no compass. It existed in 1.5 in those places. Now the super spells are only good for one blast, then it has to recover before using again. Was all this intentional? dw and others will likely put back in what was left out, that way yet another version to charge you for.

I'm finding this game fun to discover the 'newness'. At the same time if I were advising a new customer I would tell them the CE is better than mmcii
