Have you tried exiting and restarting the game or rebooting your computer?

Have you tried reinstalling the game?

You could always try contacting Nordic Games (the game's publisher), but I don't know if it would do any good.

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Very curious, indeed. This is the error gamers experienced while playing versions 1 to 1.3
versions 1.4 and c1.5 never had this problem to my knowledge. You are the very first to have any probems with MMXII. If you are unwilling to contact Nordic, then your copy is not original, even if you paid for it outright or legitimately got it by way of a digital download from a legitimate source. Let me reiterate, if you are unwilling to contact Nordic, then suffer an unresolved issue.

I had a similar problem with CE. A member named Wulf suggested this:

The simple remedy is not to install any games in their default location (like c:\program files\publisher\game name). Create a new folder that your games go into, like c:\mygames, and install your games in there, to protect them from Vista's "security mechanisms". Following this concept, your Dungeon Lords installation should be in
c:\mygames\Dungeon Lords.

I know that it says its for Windows Vista, but it worked on Windows 7 as well. It worked for me, however, some members have said that it did not work for them. Anyway, its worth a shot.
